You’ve Got Mail :: Vegan Cuts Beauty Box for January 2014

Products in the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box– January 2014

This aluminum-free deodorant keeps pits dry, even in humid conditions like Hawaii. The thyme and lemongrass scent is incredibly fresh and invigorating.

I’ve eaten food items made from konjac, like the vegan shrimp I use in my Okonomiyaki recipe, but have never seen it used for other products. The plant fibers give the sponge an extra soft, supple, cushy feel against the skin.

The Plumas lipstick was my favorite item in this month’s box. For my skin tone, it’s the perfect “My Lips But Better” color, with just a hint of metallic sheen. The formula is packaged like a gloss but has the staying power of a lipstick.

For $19.95 with free US shipping, the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box  continues to be a great value. The Ofra Lipstick ($15) and the Dew Puff ($7) alone exceed the cost of the box! While I would prefer a box of full sized products or deluxe samples, I don’t mind a couple of the foil packs since they are incredibly handy for travel.

  1. It was a nice box… The konjac sponge is interesting, but I can’t really stand the deodorant smell… I prefer the Death By Lavendar deodorant that we got a few months back.

    • Aloha Babette, I liked the scent of the Death by Lavender… until I put it on and then something funky happens with my body chemistry it turns stinky! The konjac sponge works best if I apply cleanser directly to my face rather than applying on the sponge. Have you found any other vegan beauty boxes that you like?
