Greens & Vines Restaurant (raw vegan) introduced some new menu items and I had to give them a try. My favorite dish was the Crimini Mushroom “Escargot” with a spectacular macadamia nut “butter” sauce. I seriously wanted to lick the dish, it was so delicious. Zucchini “Unagi” has a nice chew and the sweet sauce is spot on.
The Chocolate Cigar, chocolate cream wrapped in fruit leather with coconut ash, steals the show for dessert.
I always dine with a friend so we can order several of the dishes to share. Or let’s be real…I bring a friend so we can have two desserts!! The chocolate cigar was gone in two bites but we took our time savoring the Limoncello. Expecting a sorbet, we were surprised by the unique texture. Meyer lemon, agar agar, banana, maple sugar, kaffir lime leaf, mango rose and calamansi come together in a dessert that you’ll have to taste yourself to fully understand.
